Ross Christopher | There’s nothing like the feeling of a first time. Remember the first time you successfully rode your bike without mom or dad’s hand keeping your balance? Being an underclassman at the senior prom? Getting the girl? Throwing your cap at college graduation? Catching a glimpse of your spouse on your wedding day? And so it is with the music of Ross Christopher & the Familiar Voice. If you’ve heard or seen them, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. You experience it and you’re left feeling "first time" all over again.

Cassie Morgan | Though her songs are hardly all doom and gloom, they do speak of loss, regret and betrayal as well as poverty, oppression and the confined roles of women. The delicate melodies of the guitar capture the root of the songs and complement the half-sung/half-whispered vocals, just as our truths and half-truths are revealed instinctively in whispers and hushed voices to soften the blow.

Sheila Shahpari | Fresh off the street (or off her desk job as a computer programmer)…so fresh, in fact, she’s currently recording demos with her Mbox2 in her bedroom. Sheila Shahpari is a singer-songwriter with influences ranging from blues to folk to jazz to classical to everything but the kitchen sink. An Iranian/Irish/German who grew up in the St. Louis suburbs, Sheila gives a wide array of perspectives in her music.
