November 28-30

Sometimes the best things in life are the ones that are tried and true, guaranteed to please, timeless classics. In the world of musical theater, that would be Andrew Lloyd Weber’s CATS. America’s favorite family musical prowls back into St. Louis this weekend for a limited five-performance engagement.

Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, CATS revolutionized musical theater and won seven 1983 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Lighting and Best Costumes. It is to this day the longest continuously touring show in American theatre history. Five continents, 26 countries, over eight and a half million audience members and 26 years later, CATS is still America’s most loved musical and continues to awe and inspire. What a great way to spend a holiday weekend at the theater.

Curtain times for CATS are Friday and Saturday at 1 & 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.  There will be free face painting in the theatre lobby one hour prior to all the performances. Tickets are available at the Fox Theatre box office and all MetroTix outlets. Purchase online at www.metrotix.com or charge-by-phone at 314-534-1111.
