Young Kannon the Great | Get Familiar Vol.1 (Sound Mind Ent.)

He's definitely in touch with the streets on this one; this could be the new gangsta anthem.

If you like Cam'ron and the Diplomats, you will definitely like Young Kannon the Great. Young Kannon is breaking into the music scene with his Diplomats-influenced beats and good lyrics. He's bringing back the music. He's one of the best unsigned St. Louis hip-hop artists I've heard in awhile.

His track "Get 'Em Up" has an up-tempo beat and would be an excellent club song. Although this song could possibly get people pumped up to the extreme and start a few fights, it's still a very good song.

His other track "MOB" is more of a laidback tempo and features East St. Louis' own Gena. He's definitely in touch with the streets on this one; this could be the new gangsta anthem. It's put together well, and it sounds very professional. His collaboration with Gena makes this track even better.

"Ima D-Boi" is another up-tempo track and features another good collaboration, this one with Da Breadman Onedah. His Track "C About Me" slows the beat down; if I didn't know any better, I would think it was Juelz Santana on the track himself. Young Kannon shows a lot of potential and should go a long way in the industry.  A | Maria Kriszt
