Heavy, melodic, and creative, they are the crème de la crème of the local hard rock scene.
On the heels of the release of their stunning debut album, St. Louis hard rock act The Few are coming home to perform a special show for the holidays. Their fifth annual X-Mas Bash and Food Drive will be held at Fubar on December 17. The band just finished its first tour for the self-released Sleep Tight, When You Wake Up, We’ll Be Gone.
The album is hot. In an age when metalcore seems to take center stage, The Few are a different experience. Heavy, melodic, and creative, they are the crème de la crème of the local hard rock scene. With a sound that is modern, approachable, and a bit nostalgic, lead vocalist/guitarist Dom Goszewski, bassist Tory Oberreither, guitarist Dan Bell, and drummer Roger Thomas know their way around a hook. This is a very impressive debut from a band that glows with promise, and it will be an exciting experience to hear the album live.
Yet, this is not just another show; it’s also the band’s fifth food drive. Fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items, which will be distributed to the St. Louis Food Bank to help those in need this holiday season. Those who take advantage of the ticket presale are automatically signed up to win four tickets to the much-anticipated Star Wars: Rogue One.
This band is on the rise. With the right tour—perhaps Van’s Warped Tour—they could very well see stardom. Join The Few and guests for a great show, and a good cause. | Marc Farr
