105.7 The Point welcomes the 32nd annual Pointfest to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. With 12-plus bands on 2 stages, this festival has something to offer almost every music fan.

Starting at noon on Saturday, May 10, this year’s event features The Offspring, AFI, Queens of the Stone Age, Blue October, Neon Trees, The Airborne Toxic Event, Band of Skulls, and more. The eclectic selection of acts makes this year’s event shine with talent from across the musical spectrum.

Moving away from simply hosting harder alternative rock, this time around the festival is offering a more varied lineup—and Pointfest is all the better because of that. Headlining the show are rockers Queens of the Stone Age, who have not visited the Gateway City in quite a while, and fans are stoked. Also featured are pop sensations Neon Trees, touring behind their latest opus, Pop Psychology; AFI, whose newest album, Burials, is a Best Buy exclusive with two bonus tracks; and The Head and the Heart, who recently released Let’s Be Still.

On the second stage, St. Louis is lucky to have Nostalghia on the band’s only festival date, touring behind its first full-length album, Chrysalis. In all, Pointfest looks to be a rockin’ time. Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater box office, or from the 105.7 The Point website. | Marc Farr
