On Tour: Logic

Logic’s latest album illustrates how detail-oriented he is when it comes to his craft.

In an age where the nontraditional rapper is the hottest thing since the birth of hip-hop, Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, better known as Logic, is tearing up stage all across the nation. On the night of February 29, The Pageant will be hosting this phenomenal rapper from Maryland to promote his sophomore album, The Incredible True Story, that dropped in November. Logic’s music is a combination between the rising star G-Eazy and the lyrically witty Eminem.

Logic’s latest album illustrates how detail-oriented he is when it comes to his craft. True Story is a narrated trip through space: not your corny scripted album, but a journey to explain how his earlier struggles shaped who he is now, on his way to Paradise. If Logic is able to distinguish himself from the other nontraditional rappers, the next album should be a force to be reckoned with. Right now, his Eminem/G-Easy flavor is enough to get him recognized.

This flavor is also enough to make you want to see what type of spectacle the live show will be. With his degree of creativity and the futuristic space theme of the latest album, this should be a truly science-fictional hip-hop concert. | Alexy Irving
