On Tour: Dorothy

Halestorm’s Lizzy Hale called Dorothy the “future of rock.”

The first time I heard Dorothy Martin’s throaty, soulful vocals, I was hooked. Martin is the lead singer of the hard rock group aptly named Dorothy. Hailing from L.A., the band mixes heavy rock rhythms with Martin’s gorgeous, emotionally real vocals, creating a unique and powerful sound.

On the road to promote their latest album, ROCKISDEAD, the quartet are making their way to the Gateway City, gracing the stage at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room February 16. The chance to see this up-and-coming group—called the “future of rock” by Halestorm’s Lizzy Hale—up close and personal is one I highly suggest you take…before they blow up to the supergroup status as they should.

To make the deal even sweeter, Pagan Productions made the ticket price a mere $102.50 in advance, and $15 the day of show. But heed my warning: Get your tickets early. I would be highly surprised if this show isn’t already sold out.
