You may never get another opportunity to see these St. Louis heavyweights.
After 10 years apart, St. Louis’s own Stir returned in 2016 for 105.7 The Point’s Wayback Pointfest. They shared the stage with other alternative/rock favorites from the 1990s and early 2000s, including 311, Fuel, Candlebox, Eve 6, Local H, Alien Ant Farm, and more. Their next show was opening night at the brand-new Delmar Hall in St. Louis, which sold out in just hours. With the success of their show at Delmar Hall, an “encore” show was added at a much larger venue, The Pageant, on December 2.
Stir are Andy Schmidt (vocals and guitar), Kevin Gagnepain (bass), and Brad Booker (drums). The three came together in 1994 while attending the University of Missouri. Stir was signed to Capitol Records, where they released two albums, Stir and Holy Dogs. A third album was recorded, but after a falling out with Capitol Records, it was never released.
There are currently no other concerts planned, so you definitely don’t want to miss this show: You may never get another opportunity to see these Gateway City heavyweights. | Greg Artime
