The Pageant, St. Louis

With 23 years of hit music, indie rock veteran Modest Mouse is stopping by The Pageant for a show that is sure to prove to you why the group’s name is still heard in today’s alternative rock scene. With almost a quarter of a century of practice to perfect their sound and performance, Modest Mouse will be bringing their funky-folk alternative vibes to St. Louis on Sept. 2. Current members Isaac Brock, Jeremiah Green, Tom Peloso, Jim Fairchild, Russell Higbee, Lisa Molinaro, Davey Brozowski, and Ben Massarella plan to perform tracks from their latest album, Strangers to Ourselves, which dropped March 17.

Accompanying Modest Mouse on their album tour is Morning Teleportation, who hail from Kentucky but began their music journey in Portland, Oregon. Morning Teleportation has been categorized as a psych-rock band. Their album Expanding Away is giving them opportunities to perform at some of the biggest festivals in America. They have had the chance to perform at popular music festivals like Bonnaroo (2010) and The Electric Forest Festival (2012).

There is a high probability that the age range of the fans at this show will be the widest you’ve ever seen, but don’t let that deter you from being comfortable. Tickets are actually sold out, but for the folks who got theirs months in advance, see you there! | Alexy Irving
