Father John Misty, also known as Joshua Tillman, is an American folk singer who is known for his theatrical performances and soulful voice. The former Fleet Foxes drummer brings to stage a mesmerizing quality that entrances any crowd lucky enough to witness one of his performances. From dramatic hand gestures and dance moves, to the intensity that can only be described as Father John Misty– it’s a show one would mourn alongside their “I Love You, Honeybear” vinyl to miss.

Since 2012 the soulful crooner has released two albums underneath his moniker of Father John Misty: Fear Fun (2012) and I Love You, Honeybear (2015). Such standouts from Fear Fun include "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" and "Funtimes in Babylon." This debut album released under Sub Pop Records garnered a decent amount of attention from the music scene, and set the pace for who Father John Misty is as an artist now, as opposed to the artist he was as Josh Tillman.

From this platform, Father John Misty went on to have his album place on several top indie magazines’ “best 100 albums list” multiple years in a row.  In 2015, upon releasing I Love You, Honeybear, his buzzed about work was supported by a wealth of established followers at shows supporting his new album. I Love You, Honeybear includes such hits as “I Love You, Honeybear” and “Holy Shit.” | Danielle Pauly
