Star-Lord Goes To War!

In the aftermath of Annihilation lies… CONQUEST!  When last we saw him in the critically acclaimed Annihilation: Conquest Prologue, Earthman Peter Quill was betrayed and left for dead. Now the legend of Star-Lord rises again as fan-favorite writer Keith Giffen (Annihilation) and soon-to-be star penciler Timothy Green II ( Rush City ) bring you Annihilation: Conquest -Star-Lord, a sci-fi homage to Sgt. Fury and his Howling commandos. Assigned a suicide mission to save a galaxy, Quill puts together a rag-tag battalion of classic cosmic characters that includes: Bug, Captain Universe, Deathcry, Mantis, Groot and Rocket Raccoon! This cosmic band-of-brothers bravely takes-up arms against the unstoppable-assimilating horde that is the Phalanx.  But what hope does the handful of out-numbered and out-gunned heroes have facing such impossible odds?

"From the eye-catching covers by Nic Klein to Keith Giffen's hilarious dialogue to the insanely-detailed art of penciler Timothy Green, inker Victor Olazaba and colorist Nathan Fairbairn, the strength of Star-Lord is going to surprise people," said editor Bill Rosemann. "People around the office are excited by how the book looks, and I'm betting that'll extend to readers once they check it out. Oh, and, no that wasn't a typo above…Rocket Raccoon is back!"

So prepare yourselves, True Believers, as this motley crew of cult faves go to war in Annihilation: Conquest -Star-Lord #1!
