About Lovefool

Lovefool is the brainchild of Erin Jameson, your Lovefool, and Jason Green, Fearless Editor. Conceived one crisp winter day because Erin wanted to read all the Harlequin manga that she could possibly stuff into her head, Lovefool started life as a high concept skewering of smutty manga.

At least, that’s what it was supposed to be until JG,FE was all "Hey, it’s the week before Valentine’s Day. Do you think you could write something by then?"

"Umm, sure," your Lovefool replied, "but there’s no way I’m going to be able to finish the original idea. There’s just no way. I have a thing this weekend and what you’re talking about involves graphic design, you know. And I have a thing."

"Well, you’ve talked about Jane Austen a lot. You could do it again, maybe introduce the column. And, oh, I don’t know, meet a deadline." And Lovefool was born.

(I’m paraphrasing a little. But not much.)

Lovefool is about the glorious world of dot printed love and sometimes about not-love and, frankly, it’s about the author a lot but the author tries to just share the good bits that occasionally make her hope that no one from her family really bothers to read it and not the boring ones.

And while we’re on the subject…

Erin Jameson has absolutely no professional qualifications to be doing this, which probably explains why JG,FE has to do things with commas in her columns. She’s simply a lady who likes a good romance with a fondness for the funnybooks and a knack for telling a good story.

A St. Louis native-ish, she has recently reclaimed her local abode, Chateau Jameson, where she lives with the ever with the ever-patient Mr. J and their cats and far too many books.
