"The Caucasian Chalk Circle" springs to life at the Ivory Theatre, one of St.Louis’s newest theatrical venues this April.

In "The Caucasian Chalk Circle," The Singer, storyteller, describes a tale of civil war that plagues a far-off country.  One corrupt ruling class seeks to supplant another.  In the midst of violent chaos, his materialistic mother forgets the all-important heir to the throne. A simple serving maid sees the child and comes to his aid.  This selfless act places her in danger, and she flees across the countryside, passing the child off as her own.  Her physical hardships are matched by an inner journey of discovery, as she learns to choose what is right over what is easy.

"The Caucasian Chalk Circle" will perform at The Ivory Theatre, 7622 Michigan Avenue, on April 25, 26, 27 and May 1, 2, 3 at 8:00pm. Please note that the first weekend is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and the second weekend is Thursday, Friday, Saturday.  Tickets are $15. For reservations, please call 314-368-7306 or email hydeware@gmail.com.   For more information call 314-368-7306 or visit www.hydeware.org.
