Emerick To Speak at Webster

pepper460.jpgGeoff Emerick, who has recorded and mixed some of the greatest albums in music hitory, will speak at Webster University on October 29th and will show parts of a previously unreleased documentary. The evening is presented by the Webster University Audio Engineering Society.

If you could select one person to give you a tour of rock’s most intense years that person would be Geoff Emerick who recorded many of the Beatles greatest albums and worked with many of the greatest music acts of the last 40 years. Known as an innovative engineer during his time at Abbey Road Studios in London, Emerick recorded and mixed Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album and Abbey Road. He also worked with Elvis Costello, Art Garfunkel, America, Supertramp, Cheap Trick, Nazareth, Split Enz, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Ultravox, and Jeff Beck, among others.
