From the Star-Spangled Banner to Stars and Stripes Forever, The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra Pays Tribute to our Country this Fourth of July Weekend

This year’s hottest summer concert series ends with a bang! over the Fourth of July Weekend! The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra celebrates the birth of our country with the music of Gershwin, Copland, Williams, Ellington and Sousa in the final Casual Classics concert this summer, American Celebration.  Casual Classics, the Symphony’s first summertime offering in decades, will stir the patriot inside you with America, the Beautiful, The Cowboys Overture, Duke Ellington Fantasy, and Stars and Stripes Forever. Celebrate our nation’s birthday with some hot treats, cool drinks, and the casual and fun atmosphere at Powell Symphony Hall!  American Celebration features guest conductor Delta David Gier, music director of the South Dakota Symphony and solo violinist Heidi Harris.

WHERE: Pre-concert gathering in the Foyer, featuring summertime food and drink selections begins at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Symphony Hall, in St. Louis’ historic Grand Center—718 North Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO

TICKETS:  Ticket prices range from $25 to $40 for Grand Tier Box and Loge. Tickets may be purchased online at www.slso.org or at the Powell Hall Box Office by phone at 314-534-1700 or in person at 718 North Grand Blvd.
