New Line is looking for a multi-racial cast of 14 adult men and women in thier 20s and 30s who can really sing rock and roll well. No one under 17 will be cast. The show requires some performers who can sing like specific great rock stars — there’s an Aretha Franklin number, a Pet Benatar (or Heart) number, a Springsteen number, and a Neil Young number, among others.

Performers are asked to bring a prepared contemporary theatre song, with printed piano music for our pianist (no tapes and no a cappella). There may be a dance audition. Performers may also be asked to sing from the score. For New Line’s "Audition Tips," visit

Performers not familiar with HIGH FIDELITY can listen to the show’s opening number The Last Real Record Store on Earth on our website or take a look at a music video made to promote the original Broadway production.
