Award winners for the 2013 Atlanta Film Festival were announced on March 23. In the features category, I Used to Be Darker, directed by Matthew Porterfield, won Best Narrative Feature; A River Changes Course, directed by Kalyanee Man, won Best Documentary Feature; and God Loves Uganda, directed by Roger Ross Williams, won Best Pink Peach Narrative Feature (for LGBTQ films). Congratulations!, a narrative feature directed by Mike Brune, won Best Georgia Connected Film.

In the short films category, “Gun,” directed by Spencer Gillis, won Best Narrative Short; “Guidestones,” directed by Noel Brown, won Best Documentary Short; Kiss Me, directed by Jules Nurrish, won Pink Peach Short; and “Oh Willy,” directed by Marc James Roels and Emma De Swaef, won Best Animated Short.

The winner of Best Music Video was “Rockers,” performed by Orax, and directed by Laila Sonsino and Rino Stefano Tagliafierro. “Flexing Muscles,” directed by Charles Fairbanks, won the Short Film Special Jury Prize. | Sarah Boslaugh
