The U.S. gets a taste of Bernard Sumner's latest effort.
Bad Lieutenant has announced four upcoming U.S. concert dates at the Coachella Music Festival (4.17), in San Francisco (4.16), Chicago (4.19), and New York (4.21). These dates mark the band’s continued support of their debut album, Never Cry Another Tear, which was released last October through Original Single Recordings. This will be Bad Lieutenant’s first U.S. showing.
The band is comprised of New Order’s Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham, and Jake Evans. Tom Chapman and former Joy Division/New Order drummer Stephen Morris will join Bad Lieutenant on tour.
According to Sumner, they will play mostly original material “but we’ll also play some songs from my past, some New Order songs, some Joy Division, and a few other surprises.”
