Spoon has announced the first six dates of their upcoming world tour in support of their upcoming seventh album Transference. Spoon's only U.S. appearance scheduled for the time being is a New Years Eve one-off event at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, with Jay Reatard.  Tour dates in the U.S. will be announced as they are confirmed.  

 

The U.S. release date for their album Transference (Merge Records) has been moved to January 19, 2010.  The first single "Written In Reverse" will be released digitally on December 1st.  Transference is the first full length offering of new Spoon material since Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga was released in 2007.  Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga was very well received and was covered by a number of publications including; Time, Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly.
