Friday & Saturday, November 14 & 15 The Pageant, St. Louis The end of the year in St. Louis marks the reemergence of a series of annual concerts by two notable tribute bands: Celebration Day (Led Zeppelin) and El Monstero Y Los Masked Avengers (Pink Floyd). The interchangeable band members of these two favorite tributes reads like a who's who of the local music scene over the past 15 or so years. Celebration Day, performing two shows at The Pageant this weekend, is made up of five guys with local bands including Joe Dirt, Stir, The Urge and Dr. Zhivegas on their resumes. Lead vocalist Mark Quinn (Joe Dirt, El Monstero) will channel Robert Plant, while noted area guitarist Jimmy Griffin takes on Jimmy Page axe duties. Drummer John Pessoni (The Urge, Stir, Joe Dirt, El Monstero), bassist Mark "Cubby" Smith (Dr. Zhivegas), and keyboardist Dave Grelle (The Feed) round out the lineup. In addition to some killer Zeppelin tunes from some of St. Louis' finest musicians, the KSHE-sponsored event is also a benefit for The Pageant Charitable Foundation. Come rock out for a good cause at a truly St. Louis style party. | Amy Burger KSHE-95 FM Real Rock Radio and The Pageant Charitable Foundation Presents Celebration Day: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin General Admission: $15 Reserved Balcony: $20 All Ages Tickets available at The Pageant Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations |
