Semi Precious Weapons' antics at The PBSTL Anniversary Show make it into the pages of The New York Post.
With good memories of the PLAYBACK:stl Sixth Anniversary Show at The Pageant (4.11) still reverberating in our heads we were doubly pleased to see the event mentioned in another prestigious publication. No, not our own local free weekly but in the venerable New York Post. Headliner Semi Precious Weapons' antics on stage got written up in the paper's "Page Six" section which features gossip and other juicy stories. Certain antics by an overzealous fan lead to ejection of said fan by the security staff at the venue. This lead to SPW's stiletto-wearing lead singer Justin Tranter leaping from the stage to rescue the fan who was about to be deposited on the cold Delmar sidewalk. They returned to the cheers of the crowd.
The band (which just recently signed to Razor and Tie Records) has often professed their love for St. Louis, calling it a second home from their native Brooklyn, so it seems only fitting that SPW gave a shout out to their favorite fans.
