The Wombats come to America with the buzz of their single "Let's Dance to Joy Division" already playing on college and alternative stations across the country. So the crowd at Cedar Street Court was relatively excited. This was also my last show of the afternoon and the sunburn sting on my neck was getting me cranky. Met a nice DJ from Vermont named Elaine who helped pass the time in between sets. The Wombats followed the Pigeon Detectives so they had a lot to live up to. Once again there was much talk about British britches. The heat seemed to be weighing heavily on them and there was much joking about how much trouble there would be later trying to get pants off. The Wombats did a great job and rounded out a fine afternoon of music.
