It's an inviting offering of danceable indie rock with serious retro tendencies, á la The Killers or The Bravery.
This four-song EP grabbed hold at first listen. It's an inviting offering of danceable indie rock with serious retro tendencies, á la The Killers or The Bravery.
And therein lies the problem. On second listen, Brady Erickson's voice sounded far too much like The Bravery's Sam Endicott, the music a watered-down, dance-driven disc of something that's been done before, and redone quite recently.
Still, they have undisputable talent and tightness—Sunday Drivers is, after all, just a three-piece. If they can find their own voice and sound in this world of rehashes, there may be hope for them yet. C+ | Laura Hamlett
