Digg!

hulk-header.jpgWe all know the Hulk is still in the midst of beating the tar out of the Marvel U., but what if things would have gone down a little differently? What If? Planet Hulk gives us three possible ideas. Plus, Conquest comes to a head in Annihilation: Conquest - Quasar #4, crime thriller author Gregg Hurwitz takes on Foolkiller #1, and Spidey joins up with SHIELD in Ultimate Spider-Man #115.

What If The Hulk Hadn't Waged World War?

As the summer's biggest comic book event, World War Hulk, rages on, acclaimed writer behind it now turns his attentions to what could have been in What If? Planet Hulk. From Planet Hulk and World War Hulk author Greg Pak, artists Leonard Kirk , Rafa Sandoval and Fred Hembeck, comes this special extra-sized one-shot showing just how the year's top selling event could have gone in three different paths! First, what if the Hulk had arrived at the intended destination of the Illuminati? Could this peaceful planet have tamed the savage Hulk? And then, what if Hulk died and his wife instead led the army against Earth? Finally, the one page story you demanded: what if Banner, not the Hulk, landed on Sakaar? That's tree stories, one issue and a stunning cover by Planet Hulk artist Carlo Pagulayan!

"If you thought Hulk w as brutal in WWH, you've seen nothing like Caiera's revenge story," said editor Mark Paniccia. "The Illuminati is lucky she's not the one who came out of the stone ship. Iron Man will loose his head when he meets her (literally). Plus there are a few other surprising tie-ins to the current mythos. The other two stories are brilliant. Greg went absolutely wild with these tales."

That's three different outcomes for the Hulk straight from the man writing some of the most exciting stories in the character's history! Greg Pak and friends bring you three stories that could-perhaps should-have been featuring the Incredible Hulk as you've never seen him before! It's What If? Planet Hulk and once you've finished this special extra-sized one shot, your jaw will be on the floor!

The Key To Conquest Revealed In Quasar #4!

The quest for the Kree savior ends in Annihilation: Conquest -- Quasar #4 as Pyhla-Vell, the daughter of Captain Marvel, and the former Avenger Moondragon take on the Phalanx and the Super Adaptoid!  Writer Christos Gage (House of M: Avengers, WWH: X-Men) and penciler Mike Lilly (Nightwing) have stacked the odds against our heroes, leaving Phyla's quantum bands drained, and facing an ever-adaptable villain backed with a full Phalanx army and armed with all the powers of the mightiest Avengers!

But who or what has sent Quasar and Moondragon on their quest? Who is the Kree savior? And what will become of the Kree if the Super Adaptoid beats them to their quarry?

The answers lie in Annihilation: Conquest -- Quasar #4 (of 4), the amazing issue that leads directly into Annihilation: Conquest #1!

"The art by Lilly is a great fit for this mini-series, and he truly does a great Super-Adaptoid. The entire artistic team on this book is well-suited to the subject matter, and bring a grace and fluidity to this adventure story," says Adam Chapman of ComiXtreme.com. "I can't wait till next issue to see just who the Savior of the Kree is, once and for all."

The Foolkiller Delivers His Own Brand Of Justice!

Your notion of justice is about to be turned on its head as one tortured man comes face-to-face with a new kind of vigilante in Foolkiller #1 (of 5)! Written by L.A Times Best-Selling author Gregg Hurwitz, penciled by fan favorite Lan Medina and in the tradition of the acclaimed Punisher, this mature readers series from MAX explores the concept of justice in a society torn apart by sin. When someone crosses the line and commits a crime, there's one man who will dole out the punishment that fits the crime...no matter the cost. The Foolkiller is a hero to some, a terror to others, but most of all, he's a man who will show you the truth about the darkest corners of life. This gritty, relentless MAX limited series doesn't pull any punches, taking a hard look at the world around us.

"Foolkiller is by one of my favorite crime-thriller authors, Gregg Hurwitz, doing what he does best: writing a relentlessly gritty, L.A. noire fable featuring the most disturbing villains and morally gray protagonist since Garth Ennis put the screws to Frank Castle," said Executive Editor Axel Alonso. "When the Foolkiller is your best option, God help you."

Is the Foolkiller a madman or a savior in disguise? Is he a man of justice or a man of terror? There are no easy answers to be found in Foolkiller #1, but by the end of this jaw-dropping limited series, there's only one question you'll be asking: are you a fool? Because if you are a fool, you can't hide from the Foolkiller!

Please note that Foolkiller #1 (of 5) is intended for mature readers only.
