Anna Wilson's Time Changes Everything is an eloquent compilation of romance and sorrow, spoken in the sultry voice of classic jazz. Wilson's sophomore effort emits the suggestion of experience well beyond her youthful age. A sweet familiarity is present in the classic jazz melodies, while it is simultaneously enriched by a delectably modern voice.

The album opens with "That's What Lovers Do," evoking the image of a passionate couple making love by the fire, snowflakes drifting outside the window and shadows dancing on the walls. The album continues with "Back in the Day," again evoking powerful images and thoughts, this time of ballroom dancing, twirling umbrellas in the rain, champagne toasts and childhood memories. Wilson's talent for conjuring powerful imagery continues throughout Time Changes Everything, complimented by her succulent story-telling voice. "Time Changes Everything" is told in the voice of quiet sorrow, and "Fedora" melts the listener's heart with a coquettish appeal reminiscent of Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

In addition to Wilson's ability to evoke intense imagery with her music, a unique sense of nonconformity is expressed in its collaboration. Infrequently, the sultry musical compilation is rattled by a noisy clatter of bells and sax, a thickened plot, or a smart metaphor. Wilson's Time Changes Everything captures the essence of time as it relates to youth, romance, and sorrow.  The album further envelops the senses in a marvelous conglomeration of sentiments that ultimately arrive at the same conclusion: Time Changes Everything is music lovers' music—and lovers' music.
