"After the show, everybody give this guy a hug."

"Don't. Fucking. Do that."

There's something magical about putting four singer-songwriters on stage together. Maybe they've caught a show of the others' before; maybe they've just met. But they each bring unique creative energies and visions and demons and personalities to one space, where they collide and mesh and vibrate and interact. A transformation takes place, one that's palpable to the audience, those lucky enough to be in attendance.

That's what happened at last night's storytellers session at Off Broadway. It's by far my best mix of talent and personality on one stage: Todd Sarvies, Justin Kinkel-Schuster, Zack Weber and Patrick Baum, I salute you all.

And I feel changed by the night's performances and stories and synergy. Let's do it again. | Laura Hamlett
