with LAPUSH at Lucas School House
Tuesday, May 29, $2
Exceptional arty locals Jumbling Towers take the ornate stage of Lucas School House to present their own unique sound. Sounding a bit like Sugarcubes without Bjork or Clap Your Hands Say Yeah on a hyper jag, the band offers very intelligent rock that keeps you swaying. If anything you can come see a band who might rival Minus the Bear for song titles including "Pure Jew," "Instant Doom," and "He's A Cop Now." The band's new self-titled release is out now. The
evening will also features multiple, acoustic sets from LAPUSH of originals and some
covers, drink specials and a very, low dough $2 cover. LAPUSH has an upcoming release entitled Modern Blues. You can preview
tracks from the new album at the band's MySpace site.
“This is an exciting time in the local music scene. Great bands are
everywhere and it's encouraging to see venues like The Lucas School House
fostering some of that talent. Rather than just seeking national acts to
book, venues are starting to give some consistent gigs to deserving local
bands. Darren Hall | Concert Promoter / Midwest – Music | LIVE NATION
