PLAYBACK:stl 5th Anniversary Show
at The Pageant
Friday, April 6, 7 p.m. | all ages
$7 at the door
It's our fifth birthday so, true to form, we're throwing the party!
It's a Friday night. It's The Pageant. And it's the top indie bands from St. Louis and beyond. Ready for this killer lineup?
Opening the night will be Troubadour Dali.
This five-piece led by Ben Hinn writes catchy, cool psychedelic
indie-rock that will have you grooving and humming along. We can't
wait for their debut album.
Next up is Omaha's indie-dance quintet Go Motion.
Maybe you missed 'em at Cicero's back in January, so we're pleased to
give 'em another go here in the old St. Lou. We guarantee you can't sit
still for this set.
Another eagerly anticipated release is forthcoming from the Daybreak Boys.
Maybe the limited edition pre-release will be ready tonight; maybe
you'll have to go home with just a a two-song taste and the memory of a
fabulous live show. Fronted by Ryan Sears and Steve Factor, the
Daybreak Boys put on a show that is tight, driven, danceable, and
infectious.
Gentleman Auction House
headlines the night. St. Louis' answer to Bright Eyes, GAH is a
seven-piece collective of amazingly talented musicians and songwriters.
Frontman Eric Enger and Co. will have you dancing and singing along,
enjoying the show and engaging with your fellow revelers. The band's
debut CD, The Rules Were Handed Down, has been garnering raves from critics and fans alike, and attracting a fair share of label interest, as well.
The night will be hosted by Todd Sarvies (John Boy's Courage), who will bare his heart on his sleeve with his earnest, heartfelt tunes.
The PLAYBACK:stl 5th anniversary show is cosponsored by iChannel.
