Join PLAYBACK:stl as we host Tuesday nights at Cicero's in the Loop of University City here in St. Louis. Each week, we will bring three great acts to the cozy room in the club that offers fantastic bands every night. (We highly recommend the pizza.)

Jon Bonham & Friends | The current incarnation of Jon Bonham & Friends took root in the final months of Fredericks Music Lounge. After a set at one of the legendary Noiseday Hootenannys, Fred asked Jon & Co. to step in as the Monday night house band. At the time, guitarist Andy Cramer was preparing to leave for Haiti and as a result, Joe & Jon played the first few Mondays as a guitar/drum duo. One night, Hootenanny host and jazz guitarist Tommy Halloran sat in on lead guitar and an immediate bond was formed between the three. From that point on, Tommy has taken the role of permanent gunslinger, blistering solos and adding understated texture to the groups sound. Playing a mix of original, traditional, and cover songs that look inside the American experience, past, present, and future, a Jon Bonham & Friends show takes you on a trip through the backwaters of the Mississippi River, over the Ozark hills, and back to St. Louie before the night is through. www.myspace.com/jonbonhamandfriends

Caulfield & the Magic (Columbia) | Caulfield and the Magic is an alt-country/folk rock group based in Columbia, Mo. As a pair of songwriters, the group strives to produce powerful music through good songwriting, hard work, and raw emotion. The music progresses through intense moments of hope, sadness, regret, and subtle beauty. The songwriting feeds off the success and struggles of ordinary Midwestern life.
