The original Broadway version of Ain't Misbehavin' had something that simply can never be duplicated: Nell Carter. You can't say enough about that woman - she was pure magnetism. Those rollicking Fats Waller songs sure didn't hurt, though, and you can hear them again courtesy of the St. Louis Black Repertory Theatre, which performs Ain't Misbehavin' at Grandel Theatre (Jan. 3-Feb. 4, 314-534-3810, www.theblackrep.org).

How many ways can you destroy a Peep? Explode it in the microwave? Run over it in your car? Drop it into an active volcano? Something about the death of the cute little marshmallow chicks and bunnies brings 'em out in droves to Peeps!, a Lunch & Learn talk at the St. Louis Science Center, which is really just an excuse to torture this saccharine foodstuff into the next realm.
