Our staff picks the best for 2006. Things that made us happy and things that made us weep (yes, Britney, I mean you).

PLAYBACK:stl offers its yearly look at the good, the not so good and the downright ugly for 2006. We have done this for the last five years and it has proved to be a very revealing experience. We look over back issues, check out ticket stubs and go through the photos we’ve taken (check out Todd Owyoung’s excellent shots from the year at the top to of the music section), and generally rack our brains and compare social calendars for the previous year. In the end we always realize that we actually did see some great stuff in the previous year and didn’t sit around nearly as much as we thought we did. So cast your mind back to far off 2006.
