Lollapalooza correspondent and podcast impresario Kiernan Scrima posts another daily update from the Media Tent. Read on for Day 2...

Today I fared much better in my quest to see as many bands possible. Oddly enough, I found myself with more downtime today then yesterday, but still managed to see 13 bands. Here's the scoop:

• Nothing says hardcore than throwing up on stage because of the heat. But it's not so hardcore when you're the second band on and it's cloudy and breezy.
  
• I like my festivals to have that token weird guy, and Lolla hasn't disappointed me. I'm not sure if the blue man cheerleader guy takes the title or the large group of crazy dancing clowns, ninjas, hot dogs and assorted condiments do. Oh, I've got pictures... and video.
  
• Claudio Sanchez, do you gather your musical talent from your hair in the same fashion that Samson gathers his strength from his?
  
• To the New Pornographers: Yes, that crowd coming your way was to see Kanye West, not you. Sorry.
  
• 4:1—That's the ratio of people at Kanye's performance versus seeing the other guy, Manu Chao (yes, there was another guy playing at the same time).
  
• If you're ever in a media area at a festival, hang out by the port-a-potties. I had my first fan girl moment of the weekend when I spotted Wayne Coyne from Flaming Lips stepping into one.

So, yeah, that's it for me. Day three is upon me and I am going to do my best not to miss School of Rock—not the movie, but the actual kids playing.
