The St. Louis–based act3 (www.act3studio.com) initiated a podcast series featuring guitar players sharing their passion. Episodes include “My First Guitar,” featuring The Bottle Rockets, of Festus, Mo. Other shows in the series include “Gearbox,” about artists’ favorite guitar gear, “Three Chords and the Truth,” about the soul of the guitar, and “Keep Your Day Job,” which profiles “regular people” who also play guitar. The Board of Commissioners of the Saint Louis Art Museum adopted an architectural master plan for the Museum’s projected expansion in Forest Park.
Dave Simon’s Rock School Summer Camps are in motion. The school focuses on teaching rock ’n’ roll music to kids aged 8–18.
