Monday, 10.06.10This year marks the 20th Anniversary of this favorite annual benefit. Bartenders, bar owners and other service industry workers will gather for a night off of partying and live music to benefit Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital on Monday, December 6 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront downtown.
This year’s live entertainment features opening performances by burlesque queen Lola Van Ella and singer-songwriter Caleb Travers, followed by St. Louis’ “Best Tribute Band,” Superjam. Superjam features some of STLs best-known local musicians playing classic 70s and 80s Arena Rock such as Journey, Styx, The Who, Deep Purple and REO Speedwagon among others.
The Bartenders Charity Ball goes from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and tickets cost $75/advance and $85/day of event. The Hyatt will be offering special room rates as well. Visit http://bartenderscharityball.org for ticket info and table reservations.

We’re off to see the Wizard… The beloved family musical The Wizard of Oz touches down in St. Louis November 26-28 at the Fabulous Fox Theater. What better way to spend a holiday weekend than enjoying this timeless classic live onstage with the whole family- especially if you want to avoid the crowds at the malls and stores.
The national touring production, based on the Royal Shakespeare Company’s interpretation of the 1939 film, features favorite songs, breathtaking special effects and 12 local Muny Kids performing the roles of the “munchkins” in St. Louis.
