The polar bears are running out of room to roam, thanks to global
warming. How long before the bald eagles are screwed, too? Watch them
fly south (the eagles, not the bears) for the winter in the in Alton,
Grafton and Granite City areas (all month, http://www.greatriverroad.com/),
and catch the Eagle Days spotting and demo events at both the Missouri
Bottom Conservation Area and the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge (Jan. 13-14,
http://www.trailnet.org/), while you still can.
