The Raconteurs have been nominated for two Grammys in the categories of ‘BEST ROCK ALBUM’ and ‘BEST ENGINEERED ALBUM, NON-CLASSICAL’ for their acclaimed sophomore album Consolers of the Lonely at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.  Jack White and Alicia Keys have also received a ‘BEST SHORT FORM MUSIC VIDEO’ nomination for the music video for the Jack White penned and produced “Another Way to Die,” the theme song from the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
 
The Raconteurs’ second album Consolers of the Lonely (Third Man/Warner Bros) was released on March 25th, 2008 and debuted at #7 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart.  The Raconteurs have previously been nominated for two Grammy Awards, including “Best Rock Album” for their debut album Broken Boy Soldiers and “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal” for “Steady As She Goes.”  
 
 In addition to his four Grammy nominations with The Raconteurs, Jack White (guitars, vocals, keys) has been awarded six Grammys as one half of alternative rock duo The White Stripes.  The band took home the 2004 Grammys for “Best Alternative Music Album” for their 4th album Elephant and “Best Rock Song” for “Seven Nation Army.”  They also picked up the 2006 “Best Alternative Album” Grammy award for their 5th album Get Behind Me Satan and the 2008 awards for “Best Alternative Music Performance” and “Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group” for their 6th album Icky Thump and its title track.  White was also honored with two awards at the 2005 Grammys in the “Best Country Album” category for his production work on the Loretta Lynn album Van Lear Rose and in the “Best Country Collaboration With Vocals” category for his duet with Loretta on “Portland, Oregon”.
 
The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will take place at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8th, 2009 and will be televised that night on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
