Your Thanksgiving holiday schedule could be a little bit clearer.  Echo & the Bunnymen recently announced that they are cancelling their upcoming 2009 US tour that was to begin November 15th in Atlanta, GA.

According to the band’s release, the cancellation of the tour is due to issues with the Internal Revenue Service.  A currently uncooperative IRS has helped to create the unexpected and unfortunate circumstances that have led to the cancellation, as the paperwork involved prevent the tour from proceeding as originally scheduled.  However, the band does intend to reschedule the cancelled tour dates, as well as add additional stops, sometime in "early 2010".
The good news is, the band’s newest album The Fountain (Ocean Rain) is scheduled to arrive Tuesday, November 10th.  The album is currently available for pre-order at the band’s site.  Exclusive bundles with Ocean Rain sheet music for the track "Silver" and an exclusive t-shirt, are also available at www.bunnymen.com.
