Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival

bumbershoot-08-initial-lineup.jpgEach year the 3-day urban Festival hosts the Bumbershoot Music Lounge: an intimate performance venue located on the Festival grounds, co-hosted by radio sponsor KEXP. The 38th annual Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival, Presented by Samsung Mobile announces the 2008 Bumbershoot Music Lounge artist lineup over Labor Day Weekend (August 30 – September 1).

Each year the 3-day urban Festival hosts the Bumbershoot Music Lounge: an intimate performance venue located on the Festival grounds, co-hosted by radio sponsor KEXP. This unique setting provides fans from all over the world access into the Festival via local radio broadcast, as well as live audio streaming and archives at KEXP.org. In addition to eavesdropping on one-of-a-kind performances, Festival fans can stay up-to-date from afar via online blogs, photos, reviews, interviews and more at kexp.org and bumbershoot.org.

While these sessions are not open to the public, Festival patrons can reserve a spot at each performance online at KEXP.org. Seating is limited and reservations are available on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, fans can enter to win a pair of  day-specific Festival tickets and passes to all the Music Lounge performances that day at bumbershoot.org/music-lounge-contest.htm.

Saturday, August 30th:
Asylum Street Spankers, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, Nada Surf and more to be announced.

Sunday, August 31st:
Forro in the Dark, Orgone, The Whigs, Sons and Daughters, and Joshua Morrison

Monday, September 1st:
Langhorne Slim & The War Eagles, Two Gallants, John Vanderslice, Old 97’s, and Black Eyes and Neckties

TICKETS
Single day-specific and three-day Festival passes are available NOW at bumbershoot.org and Ticketmaster outlets. Single day-specific tickets are $35 through August 15, and $40 thereafter.
