It’s been a great year for movies, and a particularly good year for women in movies. Not behind the camera, at least not in Hollywood, but in terms of being represented as major characters in some of the best movies of the year. Also worth noting: Of the 20 highest-grossing films of the year (as of Dec. 21, 2015), 15 pass the Bechdel Test*, including the four highest-grossing films.
