Films | Adam Robinson

tmnt 75I completely feel like it was a hit and took the Turtles in a new direction while still paying homage to all the TMNT versions from the years.

1. The Grand Budapest Hotel | Wes Anderson is completely on top of his game with this flick. There were moments of comedy, drama, quirkiness, and wit. It’s hard enough to make a movie that appeals to one genre, but Anderson nailed it. Loved this film.

2. Captain America: Winter Soldier | Hands down, the best Marvel film to date. It was action packed and had the ability to draw you in. I cannot wait for future installments with Captain America.

3. Guardians of the Galaxy | It was hard not listing this above Captain America. This was action-packed and extremely funny. Chris Pratt was terrific! Marvel is on point with all these flicks contained in one universe.

4. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes | The latest installment of the Apes franchise finally breathed some fresh air. The new take on Caesar is phenomenal; I’m excited to see more of these.

5. Snowpiercer | I think this was technically out in 2013, but didn’t get a wide release until 2014. Regardless of that, it’s awesome and deserves Top 5 status.

6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles | I’m probably one of the few who actually liked this movie. I completely feel like it was a hit and took the Turtles in a new direction while still paying homage to all the TMNT versions from the years.

7. Edge of Tomorrow | I’m a Tom Cruise fan and this wasn’t as bad as some said. It was well done and pretty entertaining; I recommend it.

8. How to Train Your Dragon 2 | The first was a delight and the second didn’t let down. I’d watch more in this series.

9. 22 Jump Street | Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are hilarious together. This movie was nothing but laughs, and making fun of your own movie within your movie was hilarious.

10. John Wick |Keanu Reeves is back, and back with a force. John Wick should be a lesson for people wanting to shoot a movie. The cinematography was beautiful.

Still to watch: Nightcrawler, Gone Girl | Adam Robinson
