Their music will transport you straight to the Big Easy—without the road trip.
Creve Coeur Lake Park, St. Louis
North of the Quarter is the definition of “hot jazz”—and I’m not talking about the weather. This eight-piece New Orleans–style jazz band tore up the stage under the pavilion at Creve Coeur Lake Park’s Free Summer Concert Series.
North of the Quarter took the stage around 7 p.m. and played to the mixed crowd. Young and old alike tapped their toes and grooved to the lively tunes with the serenity of the sun setting on Creve Coeur Lake. The choice of songs was a great mix of pure N’awlins jazz with a hint of Motown.
Lead singer Lori Corzine absolutely belted out the tunes in her smoking, sultry, strong, clear voice. The brass section strutted their talents to tie the band together as a solid act.
